No matter the season, there are certain shoes that can be worn in virtually any circumstance. Last month I discussed staples pieces that can be worn throughout the year, so naturally the next step was shoes. So let’s get to it!
Ankle Boots: Ankle boots are a wardrobe staple that can be paired with jeans, skirts, and dresses. I love pairing them with leggings during the fall, denim shorts during the summer, and work pants during the winter. Want to kick “fashion rules” to the curb? Wear fun socks and pair it with a skirt that stops just above the knee.
High Heels: Regardless of the season, this type of shoe is probably the most versatile of all. Similar to ankle boots, heels can be paired with jeans, dress pants, skirts, etc. My favorite pairing is with a pencil skirt or sweatpants. During colder seasons, spice up your look with statement heels. Love eye-catching colors? Brighten your days with colorful heels all year long.
Rain Boots: Come rain or snow, rain boots are another staple needed in every closet. Pairing rain boots with jeans (skinny, in particular) is nothing new, but it’s still my “go to” look. For a more fun look, pair the rain boots with a dress and a trench coat.
Tall Boots: Whether you’re dressed casually or have a more polished look, tall boots are also a versatile item to have in your wardrobe. Pairing skinny jeans or leggings with tall boots is a given. But pairing them with skirts and dresses is another popular option, especially during the warmer seasons. Feeling a little risqué? Pair the tall boots with tasteful shorts.
I hope everyone had a wonderful, relaxing weekend. As always, thank you for taking time out of your day. See you next post!
